Catalog of reference projects
In the reference project catalog, you have the opportunity to publicly present your project and introduce your website or application that uses the REST API Mapy.cz to other users.
The reference project catalog is a new feature. It is currently being populated with the first projects.
For the public, it is temporarily available only through this link https://developer.mapy.cz/katalog/. Once it contains more projects, the link will be moved to the main menu.
How to do it
- Go to the Catalog tab
- In your account menu, find and click on the “Catalog” tab.
- Fill in the “Catalog Settings” card
- Fill in all the necessary information in the “Catalog Settings” form. Provide the texts in at least one language (e.g., Czech). The second language is optional, and we will handle any translation ourselves.
- Attach images on the “Project Previews” card
- On the “Project Previews” card, attach 1-5 images that showcase your project. These should be screenshots or screenshots with additional graphics. It is also allowed to attach the project logo.
- Enable publishing on the “Publish” card
- Once you have everything ready, enable publishing your project on the “Publish” card. During publishing, it checks if everything is filled in and if the project has the minimum credit consumption – see Publication Conditions below.
Changes made in the reference catalog do not take effect immediately; it may take up to 15 minutes for the changes to be applied.
Publication Conditions in the Catalog
When publishing in the catalog, the following conditions must be met:
- Real application
- The promoted Project must be a real application with actual users that uses the REST API Mapy.cz with a minimum consumption of 50,000 credits.
When publishing the project, it is checked whether the minimum consumption in at least one of the last two closed months exceeds 50,000 credits.
- Non-offensive content
- The texts must only factually and truthfully describe the project. They must not be advertising texts, sales offers, etc.
- The texts and images must not be offensive, such as obscene, insulting, erotic, illegal, or otherwise inappropriate.
- The images must only show the actual appearance of the project (screenshots, screenshots with additional graphics). The project logo is also allowed.
Operator’s Rights
- The operator has the right to decide whether to publish or not publish the entry in the catalog without giving any reason.
- The operator can decide on the arrangement of Projects in the catalog – this is currently changing randomly.
- The operator can correct/modify the texts and translate them into another language.
- The operator reserves the right to block the entire API project (disable access to the API) in case of serious violations of the conditions and abuse of this presentation.
